Markéta Baštová's study is dedicated to the interpretation of the work of the Master of Týn Annunciation in connection with the sculpture of Saxon Freiburg. Although the Saxon origins of his work are mentioned in old Czech literature on the subject, the author finds a number of new parallels, influences and interesting conclusions. She considers whether the artist connected with the works of the Master of Týn Annunciation did not perhaps come from Saxony and wasn't schooled in the workshop of the Master of Apostles of the Freiburg Cathedral.
