Nebezpečné sousedství? Joe Hloucha, Emil Filla a surrealisté

In 1935, an exhibition of the ethnic collection of Joe Hloucha and works by Emil Filla was held in SVU Mánes. In connection with this exhibition, the article treats the interpretation of the relations between modernism and so-called primitive art in that period. In addition, it sheds light on Hloucha's contacts with Czech modern artists, who acquired ethic objects from him for their collections.
