This account provides information about a plan (never realized) to build a tomb for Count Georg Esterházy according to a design by architect Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer and to install it in the Church of St Mary Magdalene in Karlovy Vary. It was to consist of an architectural structure on which the figure of the deceased, in white marble, would stand. It is clear that such a design would have required the participation of one of the Baroque sculptors: if not Mathias Braun himself, then another master of his stature with whom Dietzenhofer collaborated.
