Sibyly v písemnictví a malířství českého středověku

The article focuses on the topic of Sibyls in the Czech mediaeval painting and literature. It uses examples to describe the development of this topic in the 14th and 15th centuries, when the topic of Sibyls was frequently employed in book as well as mural paintings. Special attention is paid to the painting in the Smíšek Chapel of St Barbara temple in Kutná Hora, made in 1485-1492.
