Kopie Candidova Zvěstování Panně Marii. Nová akvizice Muzea umění Olomouc

Last year, the Olomouc Museum of Art purchased at an auction the thus-far unpublished painting of the Annunciation of Our Lady. The work is a copy of a painting by Pieter de Witte the Younger, called Candid, which has survived only in an engraving by Johann Sadeler. The author offers a stylistic analysis of the painting, in particular from the perspective of its relation to Candid's original, which has not survived.
