The study called "The Fundamentals of Architectonic Work", printed in Czech for the first time ever, dates from 1893. It differs from the theoretical works of that time, dealing with architecture, above all because it pays considerable attention to the interior space of buildings. In the preface, Rostislav Švácha places this text in a broader context of the contemporary thought.
